JaMarcus Russell Arrested

Former Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell was arrested at his home for possession of a controlled substance known as Codeine Syrup. The arrest was part of a undercover narcotics investigation as reported by ESPN. Russell was later released on $2,500 bail. Russell was a college star at LSU before being drafted number one overall by the Oakland Raiders in 2007. After a dismal career in Oakland to say the least, Russell was released by Oakland this past year. Considered one of the, if not the biggest, draft bust of all time, Russell will have a difficult time finding work this upcoming season and this recent run in with the law will only hinder the possibilities of Russell playing in 2010 even more.
